Robert Close, along with sons Simon, Anthony and Michael are now the managing directors of Kurra-Wirra. Whilst each oversee different enterprises; Stud & Commercial Cattle (Simon), Stud Sheep (Anthony) and Commercial Sheep (Michael), they share a genuine passion for their land and animals and are involved in all aspects of the business. With the support. knowledge and guidance of Rob, they are now growing their own families, and are dedicated to the continuation of this intergenerational farming business.

Our cattle and sheep are bred from large, practical herds and flocks where fertility, temperament and structural soundness matter just as much as raw performance data.
By combining modern genetic tools with generations of practical farming experience, we aim to produce animals that improve productivity, profitability and adaptability for our clients.
Whether it is heat-tolerant Slick Angus bulls for northern programs or high performing Merino and White Suffolk sheep genetics, our goal remains the same — livestock that work in the paddock and add value to commercial operations.
